Who we are

County Florist is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us on 07740 080073 or via our contact page.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect the information needed to fulfil it:

  • Your name and contact details
  • The delivery address and any recipient details you provide
  • Your order details and any message you ask us to include

Your card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card number.

Why we use it

We use your data to take payment, prepare and deliver your order, and contact you about that order. This is necessary for the performance of our contract with you. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

We share data with the services needed to run the shop: Stripe for payment processing, and our delivery couriers for the delivery address. Each processes your data under its own privacy terms.

We also use Meta advertising tools, for Facebook and Instagram. These record which pages you visit, what you add to your basket and what you buy, and send that to Meta so we can measure our advertising. Where personal details are shared with Meta they are hashed first, meaning turned into a scrambled value, so Meta does not receive your email address or phone number in a readable form. Vercel, who host this site, also count page views without using cookies or identifying you.

Cookies

Some cookies and local storage are needed to make the site work, for example remembering the contents of your basket between pages, and Stripe sets its own during checkout to process payment securely and prevent fraud.

We also use the Meta pixel, which is an advertising cookie rather than a necessary one. It is what lets us tell whether an advert led to a sale. If you would rather not be tracked this way, you can block third party cookies in your browser or use the ad tracking controls on your device, and the site will work exactly as it does now.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as necessary to fulfil the order and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then delete them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
